Blurb: From Rachel Kushner, a Booker Prize finalist, two-time National Book Award finalist, and “one of the most gifted authors of her generation” (The New York Times Book Review), comes a new novel about a seductive and cunning American woman who infiltrates an anarchist collective in France—a propulsive page-turner of glittering insights and dark humor. Creation Lake is a novel about a secret agent, a thirty-four-year-old American woman of ruthless tactics, bold opinions, and clean beauty, who is sent to do dirty work in France.

Notes: Got this from the library. It is another from the 2024 Booker Prize longlist I've challenged myself to read. My friend Betti really didn't like it and abandoned it halfway through which made me a little nervous I'd not enjoy it.

However I very much enjoyed it. Is a solid 3.5 stars out of 5 for me. Was very intrigued to find out how it ended and the Bruno character was fascinating. Main observation is the female protagonist is an odd character and reads to me as though she were written by a man but I'm guessing that Rachel the author is female as the name suggests.
