Notes: One of the 2024 Booker Longlist books (I'm trying to read all long listed books). Enjoyable enough but felt to me as though it was a first draft of the book that needed to filled out or expanded upon a bit. Easy enough read but just didn't live up to its potential or promise in my eyes.
